Biography

I  started playing guitar when I was 10 years old  playing   metal  and rock . Music was my life and kept me occupied and focused during my teenage years and to be honest, out of trouble. I grew up on a staple diet of Iron Maiden, Metallica, Slayer, Joe Satriani , Steve Vie, Paul Gilbert , Garry Moore and Jimmy Hendrix. I  played with Metal and cover  bands throughout New Zealand before moving to Sydney .  I surprised myself later  by getting seriously interested in classical guitar like the late Randy Rhodes. I eventually  studied classical guitar at Sydney Conservatorium of Music 1998-2001 for 4 years under Head of  Classical guitar  studies Greg Pikler, graduating with a Bachelor of Music and now play regularly as a solo Classical guitarist and  in the cover band Kikstar plus other fill-in positions. My aim is to pilot my own jet and called it Shane Force 1. Ha!
